Do you let your pet's sleep in your bed?
__________________ 1974 Big Block Corvette Coupe: Paint code 74L; Med. Metalic Red. Original, #'s matching motor and trans. The motor has been worked to .030 over, with a long duration cam, roller rockers, Aluminium Performer 2.0 dual plane intake, and 4" cowl hood. Hooker chrome side mount headers flow into wide open chrome side tubes (That's 4 inches of exhaust per side!!) Bringing the whole package together are authentic Western Wheels circa 1976 running 255/60R15 Firehawk Indy 500 tires with RWL. Hi Mom!

Not in a million years... dog hair, insects, dirt and who knows what else could be on that dog at any given moment. Shedding is the most prolific problem. If I had a house cat it might be a different story though. The cockatiels bite, the chinchillas are too hyper, and they would tend to get squished.

Depends how soon after they get their monthly bath!!! Towards the end of the month they will rarely be invited up to our bed. They do get to travel in our 2001 coupe in their travel kennel - fortunately they are relatively small dachaunds - Phoebie and Gus.

We have two indoor cats and they are on the bed before I am some nights. They each have their own place to sleep and my wife and I have to fit in around them. I used to have a St. Bernard and she would try to get in the bed with me but their wasn't enough room for both of use, so she got the floor.

Nope. My dog either stays in the kitchen or he's outside. He isn't allowed anywhere else in the house. He prefers to stay outside since we have a little fish pond for him to swim in and to drink out of

They (cats, no dogs) used to sleep with us, but not anymore.
We had a feral tomcat (The Wanderer) adopt us and as I was getting him friendly he had an accident that broke his leg so we neutered and retired him from feral life after 9 years of independence. He made a great housecat, surprisingly, considering he was not able to transition slowly. Because of the broken leg it happened all at once.
All the kitties would sleep with us, but when The Wanderer joined our household and the cast came off, he would start the night sleeping on the bed with everyone (us and kitties) but around 2-4am he would get these "wild eyes" and do commando raids on the occupants on the bed. Person, cat...he didn't care who he disturbed!
After it was proven that I could not break him of his early morning commando attacks I decided to ban all the kitties from the bedroom at night so we could sleep. Once in a while we'll let in a few at a time, but with more than double the cats now, than we had then...there'd be no room on the bed for all of them. I bought a 6' tall "cat tree" with real tree limbs and 7 curved sleeping shelves and that is their fave hangout.

Our two felines, 7 year old Max and 20 year old Bentley, do sleep with us. In fact, they go to bed before we do, and we have to do all kinds of contortions to get into bed without disturbing the boys! Poor ol' Bentley is having a difficult time now jumping onto the bed so he grabs a hold of the bedding with his front claws and pulls himself up.

Our three cats are now in the banned camp, as it were, Sophie who walks the head board will some times slip off the head board and scare the heck of of us from a sound sleep. Some times she will start a "dust up" with the other cats Sammie and Charlotte in the bed room. Besides that they steal the covers at night!

I share my bed, king size at least, with one wife and SIX Yorkies! They're little guys, 2 lbs. to 6 lbs. They at least let us get settled and then fill in available spaces. I even built them a carpeted stairway to get up on the bed. No ones been squashed or fallen off the bed yet. When my wife gets up during the nite they all seem to spread out to take up the max space possible. Then SHE has to find room! Once in a while a little tussle over certain prime spots but nothing serious. And I don't need an alarm clock, they know what time to wake us.
