My Corvette(s):
1981 Black Coupe
Default Rear Window Louver installed

Let the comments begin...love it, hate it, indifferent?
It took about 2 hours to grow on me after installing.....
Now I can't imagine going back. I drive my 81 a lot and
though its got some signs of age and miles, I love how people
flock to look at all C3 Vettes. The rear louver just makes it
look all that more exotic to me I guess.

The rear louver definately reminds me of Death Race 2000 and
all things 70's like..

EDIT Lotta folks wanted more pics...heres a page with several

Please don't make to much fun of me...

I put a set on my black vette and have never been happier! When I was out in the 29 Palms,Ca they definately helped keep the interior cooler!

http://spoilers4less.com/wp1015.html (ABS Plastic Louver)
http://spoilers4less.com/wp10523.html (Aluminum Louver) The one I went with

I posted here a few months ago and the general consensus was go aluminum....The ABS version looked a little to Firebird like......

This forum has always been a great resource for us at the L81 Registry. I have never been steered wrong and the folks here are some of the most helpful on the Net..

Thanks for all the great feedback..!

Thats so funny....The day after I bought this car in 2001, my wife said it looked like the Batmobile....So Placed a small Batman sticker on the inside of 1 door... Its been there ever since and we still refer to my car as the Batmobile ...LOL

(Guess I need a red light on top, a cape and some Blue Spandex...

I think it looks really cool! And it helps in keeping your interior cooler? What's not to like! Sounds like a WIN-WIN situation to me.

I think I prefer the wrap around ABS type. Hey 81 corvette guy, do you have any other pix with rear angle views? The profile looks very good. Curious to see what they look like from other views as well. I live in a warmer climate and I could use a little relief from the sun too.

Thanks for the extra pix. They look goooood! I've got the dark blue metallic paint and I think they would definitely give mine the batmobile look. Now if I could rig up that flame shooting out the back....
