John:
Can you provide some details regarding the convertible conversion? How do you go about making a T-Top model a convertible?
Is a conversion kit available for 81's that a body shop can install?
I've been told you need to cut-off the back of the car and install an older convertible model back half.

Vette333, I bought the 81 convertible from Cn'V Corvettes in Tempe.Az.It was owned by a local TV announcer since it was new.The owner of Cn'V Corvettes is tracking down the info.I will post it as soon as I get it.This conversion cannot be detected from looking at the exterior.Maybe if you pulled rear carpet out you could see some evidence of the conversion. The rumor is that a Walter Piper of Glendale,Az converted it in the early nineties, but I couldn't find him.I will post info as soon as possible. Thanks!
