Default Old Vettes never die...they just go faster!!!

Went to the opening of Norwalk Raceway tonight....the track is about 10 minutes from the house....and we got free admission out of the newspaper, so we had to go....here were a couple of the cars that were there....this 53/54 vette ran at 191 mph!!!

This 1966 only ran the 1/4 mile at around 130mph...not bad!!!

Hello First Gear

I love the pics and I am a little envious that you live so close to a track. The Corvette is a very popular body style at the track. The bodies are a little more aerodynamically friendly than the originals, but the main reason that the 1st and 2nd gen bodies are so popular is that the fans love the looks of these cars, so it is a tribute to all of the people who have the real thing.
I hoped you had a good time and that you may attend again
take care
Tom
