This might not be the place -BUT- I'm in need of two tickets to Bristol Aug. Bush and Nextel.I don't want to use E-bay or a scalper.I realize that 60,000 others are looking also. Any ideas?

Good luck..hardest ticket to find in NASCAR. I had the oppurtunity to go this race in 2003. Absolutley the very best track I've ever been to. They don't call it Thunder Valley for nothin'.

I've been to every night race since 98 and the tickets have never cost less than 300 - 350.
Scalpers everywhere on race day though.....good luck!

Not bad. You are in the turn one area. You'll have a pretty good view of the front stretch pits. The only bad thing is it looks like you are up under the terrace. I hope you don't have one of those support posts blocking your view of a portion of the track. Also,it seems the noise is much louder up under the terrace.
Make sure if you are going to use a scanner or radio headphones to get the very best ones you can find. I had what I thought was a very good headset for my scanner. I had used them at other tracks...no problem with noise. At Bristol,I found out at practice they were worthless. I bought a top quality Racing Electronics headset the next day. It was money very well spent. One other thing, get there very early and park in one of the residents yard across the street. You'll get out much more quickly. I parked directly across the street and after the race was back at my hotel in 20 minutes!

I'm not sure where Pearson is but any seat fairly high up is good at Bristol...
As for the terrace, we moved up there one year during practice cause it started to rain, if I remember correctly those seats had the plastic chairs. Much better than the hard aluminum seats down below. Even had a cup holder!
All in all, this is Bristol! Being there...anywhere...is great!
This place is a fishbowl and the roar of 43 cars firing up is awesome! Like Dave says, it's loud and you can smell the exhaust and the tire smoke.
I have a Uniden Sportcat 150, there are better, smaller scanners out now and I have never had a problem listening to the MRN broadcast or drivers. Get some good volume adjustable headsets to go with it and you are set. If you don't get a scanner, get some earplugs, you are gonna need 'em...
Have fun!
