Default Option package question

Do we have a data base on what was included in option packages? I' m particularly interested at this time about 1986. I've searched and found reference to the z51 perf package and B4Z custom feature package, but not a listing of what was included. Thanks

Mike

Thanks Ken,
That is one of the sites I've already visited and it lists options by code. What I'm looking for is a list of exactly what was included in those options. For example, I have no clue what the B4Z custom feature package is. Or maybe I just have no clue???

Thanks again,

Mike

Ken if you come back to this forum. Please weigh in on "Looking at 86 cp" in the C4 general discussion forum. I respect your opinion.
Thanks

Mike

See if my own web site has what you need: http://corvetteobsession.homestead.c...BlackBook.html

I'll look into the '86 post shortly.

Magoo, I have the B4Z on my '86. Can't remember all of what's included. Primary goodie is heated outside mirrors. I think the rear window defroster was bundled into the package, as well. When I get home tonight, I'll check on the exact contents.
Z51 stiffens springs, shocks, and antiroll bars. Also, the wheels are widened (to 9.5 inches), the radiator is upgraded to heavy-duty and adds a second fan, an oil cooler is installed, and the steering ratio is quickened up. It's all aimed at autocrossing/road racing. Bit of a buckboard ride, but nice, right-now responses.
Hope this helps!

Thanks Redcoupe, I hope to own an 86 4+3 on Mon. Your info is very helpful. Appreciate anything else you think of.
Thanks

B4P on mine equates to Radiator Boost Fan; DL8 on mine symbolizes Remote Heated Mirrors.

Each option seems to have its own rpo#. B4Z like the Z51 appears to group several rpos together under one number, but nothing tells you which ones. I'm really excited and expect to own one on Mon. Sellers wife must approve.
I'm so into these C-4s right now. Ken, yours looks great. The one I'm looking at is silver, but there are very few colors I don't like.
Thanks guys for your help.

Mike

Mike, my pleasure. You've got '62 and '68 verts?! Scuse me while I go through several shades of green, man. It was the '68 that first stoked an ongoing case of 'Vette Fever back in the day. Took me only 34 years to finally get one. Good luck adding the '86 to your stable!

Well it sounds like you've got a nice one. I'd like to see some pics sometime. I got that fever when the axles were still solid. I've been lucky enough to own quite a few. Never more than 3 at a time. Mostly in the day when c-1s were affordable. If I ever get smart enough I'd like to post some pics too. Great talkin with ya.

Thanks again,

Mike

Thanks Whisperer, it helps very much. I did buy the car but still wasn't sure what was Z51 and what was random options. My blackbook is out on loan. I love the car. Check out the "bought 86 cp" post. Sounds like you have a nice one.
