The 40th Anniversary model Corvette is one of the best looking automobiles ever made. Congratulations.

I really think that Corvettes like bunking together in the stable. There should always be a pair right? Congrats on the new Vette.

I agree with bluecoupe, one of the best looking vettes ever. I'm wondering, maybe your stable mates will take to each other and make a new baby vette? ;)

Congrats and best of luck on the second one!!! If you can figure out how to mate them let me know!!!! I figure two c4's would produce a new c8!!! I have a c3 and a c4 sp that would make a c7????? Maybe a c6 Z06!!!

I think it also has to do with age a little too... perhaps? For instance my 76 is sitting right next to a 90 in the garage so.... 29 years old + 15 years old = 44 combined years :upthumbs. Also figure out how old the car is from 1953 :ugh. 23 & 37. Take 29 - 23 = 6 and 37 - 15 = 22. 6 + 22 = 28. ;LOL So that means the two cars should produce an offsping of the 2028 :Silly model year right? Maybe my math is off a little;shrug. Or maybe there are more variables. Anyway, still fun.
You still got a Beauty Brian!!! :BOW

I'm gonna third that, I always loved the way the Ruby looked.
There is one that I see in my neighbourhood every now and then and it makes me just stop and stare.
Nice Vette Brian.

Brian, not to be nosey, what did you pay for the car. I let an 93 Ruby go with only 17K miles, the owner wanted 20K for the car and I felt that was too high. I would have gone for 18K, not 20. I LOVE the Ruby color.

You can't pay too much for a 40th Anniversary Vette you can only buy it too soon. IMHO It WILL go up in value. It may take 5 or 10 years but if you take good care of it you will not be sorry. As soon as my last puppy is out of college (and the loans are paid) it will be the first toy I buy. Of course I will have to tell the Mrs it is for her.

Beautiful 40th, I’ve always thought that the Ruby Red Metallic compliments and defines the lines of the C4 very well. And it’s a 6-speed too!
Congrats!

In 1999, I paid 20K for my ruby. It had just over 17K miles on her, and I think worth every penny. A car I've always lusted for. I live in the Northeast, so I don't think that was a bad price. I believe Vettes follow a reverse 'bell curve' when it comes to pricing, try to buy close to the bottom end, eventually they all go up.

I got it for 13,500. It is in great shape, but the lt qtr pnl had been repainted. Other that that it looks like the original paint. I put it up on a lift prior to buying it and the frame rails had no sign of any damage or repair. So, the qtr pnl damage must have been minor.
Other than that the car is in excellent shape. I'm very happy with it....

Paid !5000 for mine about a year ago. It had 45000 miles and was just like out of the showroom. Got it off of ebay. I just traded up to a 2001 last week. I sure do miss that car already.

What a deal! Wow. Now that's a great investment. I'll call you to negotiate for me when I am ready to buy one.

Congrats! I know its a little late, but I had to let you know IMHO, that is the best looking color GM ever put on a car. I hoping to put a Ruby vert next to my '94 in the future.

That is a sweet Ruby. They look great in every picture I see of them. I always turn around & look at mine in the office parking lot and say to myself, " I can't believe that is my car!":D . It even looks cool under the car cover.
Congrats on a getting a great Vette.:w

Man, you got be a young'n. When you get my age there are three standard answers that every husband learns,
1) "You look like you're 29 dear"
2) "You're hair looks great"
3) "No way, those jeans don't make you look fat"
Read, learn and rembember my young Padawan lest you fall victim to the DARK SIDE:cry
Thanks for the complements on the "87". It was my father's, he got it back in 88. I got it last year when he passed away. It has alot of sentimental value, the 93 LT1 6spd is more fun to drive, but if one had to go it would be the LT1.

I've had my Ruby since April, purchased her with 30K miles. Took third recently in my first show. still tear up when I look at her and realize she's mine.
