I voted for $72500 . It's halfway between what I figure it should be and the high mark . It has some unique body panels that won't be produced in high enough numbers to make them cheap . Plus when I see what is charged these days for optional engines in other cars (which is outrageous) plus adding some cost for beefing up the tranny , bigger tires and rims , I come up with a price of around $70,000 . Add $2500 for corporate greed (I might be a little low on that ) and you end up with $72,500 .:upthumbs Cliff

I went with $65k. I think they want to keep the prices within reason.

I voted the same way for the same reason. The Z will be a great car, but it's still a Corvette. There are a lot of choices, including the regular Vette which is a real value.

I would have voted but I didn't see a category for "not in my lifetime"..;LOL

Does the side vent on the front fender of the Z06 stick out further then it does on the regular C6? I havent had a chance to see a direct side by side comparison yet.

I voted 67.5.

I heard GM is rethinking the 70k+ range... that it may be too expensive.

When will the pricing info be official?

6 - who's your source - is it reliable information - because "eight" inches wider would be a whole different car. I think it would be great, but it doesn't really show up in the pictures. Recheck with your source. I'm intrigued.

Thanks,

pricing announcements usually happen in July during shut down - so we can guess and guess and guess....I feel the car will be upper 60's and optioned out mid 70's.....again..just a guess!

I should be able to get my hands on the pricing 1st and will be happy to pass it along to you folks to review!

I've heard all kinds of rumors from $70K to $90K but it all sounds too high to me!

I voted $65K. They have to keep it halfway affordable!

I know this isn't very official , but the gal doing the intro for it at the Detroit auto show said it was three inches wider . She also said they would go on sale in October but the price was still undetermined . Cliff

I hope its closer to 60K. There are thousands of C5s out there with over 500 Hp. I doubt it cost the owners 20 to 30 grand for the improvement.

I believe it will be closer to $60k, actually $60 to start. I see many people thinking there will be around $5k worth of options available on this car. The C5 Z06 only offered a CD changer if I remember correctly. Where is the $5k worth of options coming from?

My prediction will be less than $62k base MSRP but unclear what options they would offer.

My guess is @ 70K. With 67.5 base price, and performance option packages that will push it to 70K. I am hoping GM offers different performance package options for the new Z06 ... sports tuned suspension, competion brakes, chrome wheels and high performance exhaust and intake systems to cater to customer's hunger for more HP  ... but I know these are all wishful thinking!!! Hey maybe GM's scouts are monitoring this site ;worship .... PRETTY PLEASE???? ;shrug Save the wave ... :w

I was at the Philadelphia car show yesterday. There wre 3 vettes and 1 Z06. The Z06 was on a rotating platform, so NO ONE could get a good look at it. But... I spoke to the female window dressing, she said that although no price has been published yet, GM expects it to start at $65 and be ~ $70 fully loaded.

At the car show, the $5k would come from "things like GPS". Sorry, taht's all I was able to find out.

I think $72,500 and GM will try to tell what a bargain it is!

I still think $75k. Have you seen the brakes? (about $4k on the aftermarket)what about the hand built engine(around $10k to $12k). Specific body panels. Oh and let's remember the ZR1 option of $35k. Compared to other 500 pony cars 75k is a bargain...but I still couldn't afford one. Do I still want one? ABSOLUTELY!!!

I voted $72K because of the aluminum frame, carbon fiber body parts, hand built engines (probably $10-12K) in it self.

:lou I say $72.5K and something tells me this will be conservative at least intitially. With all the aluminum, kick'n engine, carbon fiber parts this will more than likely be a low estimate; could be closer to $90K or more! Just my thoughts but who knows what GM has in mind; like to ease drop on that meeting. All I can say is glad I still like the look of the C-5 better.

The Canadian MSRP price I am hearing is,

$102,000 CDN.

Canada will only get one version of the Z06-C6. ( I also heard it will NOT be available with NAV in Canada).

Prices will be released in late April.

Ouch, that's more than $84K here! Throw in some dealer gouging and it'll be well over $100K.

75k. Why would it be any less. Remember what the sticker price on the ZR-1's was, 65k and that was 15 years ago.

-Bill.;).......................I believe it won't be a long while before Canada gets one at that price.....there will be limited availability and therefore the prices will be jacked for at least 2 years.............heck we don't even have a chance at seeing a convertible this summer up here.

Did you get that option where the car drives itself? All you have to do is get in the passenger seat and it goes wherever you tell it to!:D

100K plus wouldn't surprise :ugh me one bit! Going to be out of my price range that is for sure; but I do like my old C-5; good thing uh? Are you in the market for one? The headlamps, and other features about the outside hasn't grown on me yet; but the interior is definently awesome for sure!
