You need "Could Care Less" in the poll.

After having 18 vetless years:cry She's the one that gave in and said. "Why don't you shut up and just buy one!" That's all it took.
Two weeks latter I had my 93.:D Now two years latter I'm the proud owner of that 93 and an 02.:v That's my story and I'm stickin to it!

After being Vette-less for 30 years, she rented me a ZO6 while in Vegas for my 50th birthday. So, the rest is history. Her fault!;LOL

Mine is all for it. She'd rather see me in a vette rather than on my Harley.

She bought it for my 39th birthday!

For this, I am sure... she will truly go to heaven.

I got the typical "you wanna buy ANOTHER car?"

I change cars every 2-3 years......

I have wanted a Vette for years but bought a 70 Malibu Convertible as a compromise ten years ago. ( It seats the whole family ) I rented a Z06 in 2002 and convinced myself that I didn't need to own a Vette. The dream just wouldn't die. I recently found one and steeled myself for the negotiations with the missus. Bless her heart, she offered very little resistance. The Malibu has to go though!

Mine actually encouraged me to buy my LT-1. I've wanted a corvette since I was a little kid (like you guys/girls haven't!), and after having some very scary health issues, my wife said "I'd hate to see something happen to you where you never end up owning a corvette - just buy it!"
This was after my health crisis, and after she saw the LT-1 which she just loves to ride in!

My wife got my first Corvette for me on eBay. It is the '70 350 hp 4-speed equiped Laguana grey roadster. She also heavily encouraged me to buy the new '04 Z06 last November buy telling me that if it was a dream of mine I should get it, otherwise I probably would have talked myself out of it as not being a practical thing to do.

Yeah! My wife first reacted that way, but when I told her about how quickly workaholics like myself die off-after retirement (in about 12 years), she agreed to a two year plan. Of course, a 2-year plan on her part is a 1-year plan on my part....:L ..and by the way, this is on the second Corvette addition. I purchased Gail long before my wife and I met and married.

hahahah;LOL ..."How did your husband/boyfriend react?" needs to be added to the poll...

SWEET04 was in the garage when he came back from a trip out of town...his first question was, "Are you keeping it?" From that moment on, he referred to her as the "piece of shi*". I know where he lives...in another county! ! ! ! !;LOL

P.S. It's a true story! I swear! He went out of town on 5/14...I bought Sweet on 5/15. It's a girls world......

My wife totally supports my Vette ownership. I did get a little stinkeye when I bought no.3 but that Vette has since become her favorite. It's the one she plans to use as her daily driver the day after I drop dead! She does refer to them as the pension plan, tho.

Susan, you be the one, who said Vettes are just for guys!!!

I have wanted one since I was a kid and finally brought one home, yup you guessed it she was surprised that I actually bought one although she knew that I might. No big deal to her and she let me build a garage to put it in.

I dropped my first wife off at work in a used car and picked her up in a new Corvette. Notice I said "first" wife. ;LOL

She had better talk to my wife. It's a phase I've had all my life, even before I even thought about driving. You never get over your first vette, but you do get over your first girlfriend!;)

I thought my wife put up with my 1st Vette until I Sold It !

She was getting kind of teary eyed the morning I was getting ready to take it over and drop it off @ the Corvette Dealer who bought it from us. I asked her what was wrong; she said, " I'm going to miss owning a Corvette!" I let her know we wouldn’t be without a Corvette very long.

She wanted a Millennium Yellow Roadster and it didn't take me long to find it! :Dhttp://uploads.savefile.com/users/uploads/kerri_i_ml.jpg

Well, I voted for the "support you " option...and now here's the rest of the story.

He said, after 2 years of my pleading, "Oh, very well. Go ahead and spend your money on it. But you have to agree to let it be a garage queen, and drive it only 1000 miles a year, and not drive it in the dark, or the rain, and .... and .... and .... "
And when I asked if he wanted me to stop by his work and show it to him on my way back from the dealer, the reply was a flat "no". :(

And later, it became my "midlife crisis".

We're past all that now, thankfully.
It took some :argue and a little :mad and some imagined threats of :r
But now its all :dance and :Twist and :m and :grouphug:.

How did your wife / girl friend react when you told her you are going to get yourself a Corvette?
The last one I just brought home . It was a red /red C4. She was in shock. My wife was 4 months pregnant. She kept growing and couldn't fit in near the end . I had (2) 300zx's and (1) vette/vert in the garage at the time. I sold the C4 two months after my wife delivered our daughter ( bought a Maxima). Her famous line is "How many cars do you need ?". My reply is "one wife and many cars" or "MANY WOMEN AND ONE CAR" - SHE NEVER QUESTIONS MY CAR PURCHASE ANYMORE..........

Well, I happened to start the poll. I voted the "go for it" answer which has been the case. She told me to go for it in a heart beat. Her reaction was a big wooooooov when she first saw the car. We like it both very much. But she is scared to drive it. Tells me she will drive an automatic... May be in a few years time, why not???

She said its your money go buy it.Now she will not ride in it, says I become someone else when I drive my "Vette". She has no love for speed?Needless to say I still drive my "VETTE" without her in it.I will soon be moving closer to other "VETTE" lovers!!!

She was totaly against my owning a corvette. She visited her sister and I went out and got my C4. She has never forgiven me and refuses to sit in it. Works for me.
