My Corvette(s): Red 1981 Coupe from Fairway Chevrolet, Las Vegas | The Z06 makes an Aussie Appearance!
Gday,
Just thougt I would share an article in a monthly Classifieds mag from Australia. The mag is 'Unique Cars' and features articles and classifieds from all over Oz.
Looks like the Zed was good enough to make it into this months issue, but not good enough for GM to export as a right hooker to Australia. Maybe I might see it in my lifetime, a factory backed right hand drive Vette that is.
Sorry about the break up of the article, but we had file size issues.
Try Post number 5, we had a little trouble with the upload of the pics.
Tony

Tony | I thought one of the major reasons for designing the C6 interior with the seperated center console was that it made it easier to build a right side drive.

Rumour is that one of the major Corvette Steering Converters here in Australia, already has a C6 on order to convert to RHD. It will be the first in Oz, so there goes a good $45000.00 (AU). Should put the price somewhere in the $165000 to $170000 (AU) price bracket.
It would be cheaper to have them factory backed RHD though.
