Default Old Window Decal Removal Help

There is a "Corvette" window decal on my windshield circa 197x. It's been on there for a long, long time. I have tried a razor blade, and a hair dryer to get this thing off with no luck. It has seperated into two layers... a dry plastic layer that kind of flakes off in large peices, and then the stickum layer... that will not come off.

Any ideas of what will safely remove this without too much work?

Thanks,.
Dave

Hooker chrome side mount headers flow into wide open chrome side tubes (That's 4 inches of exhaust per side!!) Bringing the whole package together are authentic Western Wheels circa 1976 running 255/60R15 Firehawk Indy 500 tires with RWL.

The stuff I have used is either castor oil, or campher oil. I will have to check in the garage tomorrow. I have also used 3M general purpose adhesive remover. Also I think a mineral spirits might work.

Good luck

Craig

Yeah i'll give the 3M stuff a shot first, as I can get it close by. I've used googone on other projects, but to tell you the truth... IT SUCKS. You have to scrub, scrape and rub forever. I cannot do this, especially with my arms extended.... I had both my shoulders reconstructed... and they SUCK too.

Try wetting it with mineral spirits and then try the razor blade again. I have yet to find anything that a razor won't take off glass.
