Default Preserving finish on new aluminum heads/manifold

Probably the wrong forum, but here goes:

Putting new aluminum heads and manifold on my newly assembled engine. I would like to keep the aluminum looking as new/natural (unpolished) for a long time.

Anyone have tips on how to accomplish that? Clear or some other finish?

Thanks!
Doug

I don't know of any clear finish that will survive that kind of heat over time without yellowing.

Thank you, that is pretty much what I was thinking.

What do people do for long term care/look of the heads, say if oil gets on them or just general road grime? I don't want a polished look.

Maybe there is some spray on, rinse off cleaner that will remove the contaminants without discoloring the aluminum?
