My Corvette(s):
Default Interior Refurb Option?

Hi,
My '98 interior is starting to look a bit worn and I wanted to start replacing the interior to get it back to new. Am I only able to get the interior from the dealer or is there an aftermarket company producing carpet, panels, etc? I know this is going to be an expensive project but I plan on keeping the car and handing it to my children at some point.

I just did the complete carpet replacement on my 95 a few months ago. Bought the carpets from Mid America. I was extremely pleased. They were form fitted, having all the creases and bends in the right places (original massback). The only difficult part is taking all the little trim pieces off to get to everything. To do the front parts, you practically have to take the center console apart to get the middle panels off. And, doing the rocker panels can be a chore. But if you take your time like I did, the interior will look like new and original.

Definitely check out Vette Essentials.

I have a few of their pieces. They are not inexpensive, but you have to pay for the best.

another idea:
Depending on the panels and how much free time you have, why not remove them, sand and prime, and paint them?

Can do the same to the engine -

Makes for a very affordable DIY dress up!

Good luck
Rain (btw, lots of corvette salvage yards out there too that have interior pieces for sale)
