Default C1 - Ermine White cross reference

Just finished painting my 61 Roman red with single stage Nason Ful-thane urethane and now I am getting ready to paint the coves Ermine White. My Dupont/Nason counter person says that Ermine White is only available in Centari (acrylic enamel). I already painted the roman red urethane in the coves on the doors so I will have to go over it with the white. I don't want to go over it with a different type of paint. Does anyone have a cross reference for the Ermine White so I can check if something might be available in the Ful-thane urethane paint. Any suggestions appreciated. Happy New Year.

Thanks for any help

I have the following numbers for Ermine White lacquer: DuPont 4024-l R-M A-1199 Ditlzer (PPG) DDL8259 I hope this will help you cross refference the paint that you need.

Is that paint color year specific? Or is it the same for all years?

Default Lacquer Paint numbers:

I believe it would be the same for all years that used Ermine White. I received a book with my 1961, Corvette V8 Complete Owner's HANDBOOK. It list the paint colors and numbers for DuPont, R/M and Ditzler (PPG) for most of the C-1s interior and exterior. The Ermine white is also the color for my 1963.

Ray.
Thanks for all the numbers, that gives me allot of ammunition to go back to my paint dealer with. Are you going to go with the Ermine white on your 63 and how is that project progressing?

Glad that I could help! I haven't started the 63 yet. I have to stop buying cars, I needed more room and I added 560 SQ FT to the barn. The barn has kept me busy since Thanksgiving. I plan on selling the 65 this spring, it has been restored to NCRS standards, but I had problems with the paint. I am currently stripping the paint and hope to re-spray it with in the next few weeks. I still can't figure what went wrong, but I guess I will have to chalk it up to a learning experience.

The red on your 61 looks awesome! Keep the pictures coming.

Ray, Those numbers did the trick for me. They were able to cross reference and verify the Ermine White. Also known as Arctic White. Thanks much Ray!
