Maximum width of c-5 frame?

I plan on making a hot rod using a lenghten c-5 frame. I have measured a 2003 z06 and very little can be seen from underneath the car because of the panels and curved plastic body panel underneath the doors. I did see an edge of the frame and it is less width than the floor pan of my 64 Nova. After watching "Rides" featuring Jay Leno's buildup of a 65 Toroando they said the c-5 frame was too wide for this car. This made me second guess my original measurement. Hopefully I will be able to channel the Nova body over the lengthen c-5 frame. What is the maximum width of the c-5 frame???

What drivetrain do you plan to use, the C-5 has a torque tube connecting the front mounted engine to the rear mounted trans/diff unit; I would think it would be a major job to make it longer.

I will be putting mine on the lift in the next week or so and will measure it, but it will not be exact because of the way the body panels wrap around

I plan on using the complete c-5 running gear with a lengthen frame. I have already contacted my local drive line company and they say it would be no problem legthening the torque tube. I have done rendering drawings of chopping the length of the Nova removing 6.5" of the back seat area. I did not like the l look enough to justify the problrm of joining the two peices together. The track width of the front and rear axiles is about 6" wider than the Nova. I also considered that and have made drawings - renderings that I like.
