Default 64 65 ammeter guage same/close??

Anyone know if the 1964 and 1965 ammeter gauges are interchangeable?

My 64 driver's gauge is not working, and the 65' ammeters are sooo much cheaper.
Is it a bolt-up replcement, and is the face similiar to a 64.

Thanks, and happy holidays!

the 65 face is much different than the 64. The 63 and 64 are close but different in color, and can be interchanged. The 65-66-67 are all similar.

The 65-67 gauges are being reproduced thus the lower price. The 63 and 64 are originals, either NOS or rebuilt, and are about twice the money.

They're quite a bit different, the 63s/64s are similar the center cones are different. They're plactis face with a sunken center cone(63s silver-64s black stepped). The 65-67s are a flat metal face, swapping them would take some modifing and it would be noticable.
