Default

Is this worth it? I think it will restrict air flow

My Corvette(s):
Default No air flow restriction

The Kit does not restrict air flow, since it has a 75% open area. That is more open area than most grilles on the market.

In the case of the 84 to 90 C4's, it actually increases air flow. (The air deflector is removed)

I have had the kit on my car for about 2 years now and have never had an air flow problem.

The grille will prevent road objects from punching a nice hole in your rad. It will also prevent leaves, bags and other items from entering the cooling area of your car causing your car to overheat...and damage the engine.

Before i installed the grille kit, I had a plastic bag get sucked up into the rad area and rap around the front fan. The bag melted around the fan, causing it to stop, blowing the relay and caused the car to overheat.

I had to change the fan, relays, thermostat and get a new rad, since it began to leak. This cost me $400.00, not including labor and the tow.

If i had installed the kit sooner, I would not have had to spend all that $$$$

I suggest that you take a look at the front area of your rad and i bet you will find rad fin dammage...........

Its up to you, but It gives me piece of mind knowing I will never have my rad damaged again and I will never be stranded in the hi-way again in the middle of the night.

All The Best!
