Keep 'em or Toss 'em?

I've got every box for every piece of electronic equipment that I ever bought; it's a habit I got into in my younger days as I was moving around a lot. There is no better packaging than the original boxes, eh? ;)

Now that I'm much older and less prone to moving from town-to-town, I'm undecided as to whether I should continue to use valuable storage space to keep those old boxes. While it is possible that I may once again move, chances are it won't happen unless it's "an offer I can't refuse." ;shrug

Whatcha think - keep 'em or toss 'em?

I voted to toss the boxes, but what do I know I still keep boxes for the same reason. It's nice to give advice to others but not use it myself.:upthumbs

I also voted to dump them. When my father passed away a couple years ago I filled a VERY large dumpster with old boxes and broken tools he had never gotten repaired... I have change my thoughts on what I keep now.

I am trying to break the habit of keeping every box, I hate to, but I only have so much storage.

i keep em. usually because I am going to sell it on eBay one day and its easier to say its in the original box.

so sell the stuff you don't use and try to slim down on those original boxes you are keeping.

I don't seem to be able to sell anything. People always expect me to practically give it to 'em! :eyerole

well, we are all bargain hunters..
as long as you didnt pay list/retail for it the first time, then you should be able to at least get SOMETHING for it! :D

In spite of all the sage wisdom expressed in your votes to toss 'em, instead, I've brought all of them back upstairs and have built shelves for them. I already had 'em stored in binders designed for such, so I may as well keep 'em around for awhile yet. Thanks for the opinions but the poll is now closed. :CAC

Oops! I was referring to the magazines; I'm gonna toss the boxes. ;)
