Picked up a 93 coupe over the summer. I noticed a bit of antifreeze smell inside the car from day one. Sometimes i get a hint of fog on the windshield just above the defrost vent. BUT....... I'm not loosing any coolant. none. any suggestions on the cause? dont wanna pull the heater core if not necessary.
It takes a very small amount of antifreese to give the smell and the fog. You might not notice much drop in level for awhile. I would check with the person who owned it , could be they installed a new heater core just before you bought it. The residue takes awhile to go away if they didn't clean up the box.
