O.K., thanks guys. I sent the seller on Ebay a message and I have his reply....

You asked:
"According to the NCRS, these aren't 67 wiper blades. Wrong part # for 67. I just thought you might want to know and not be incorrect or misleading in your ad."

I have no intention of being deliberately incorrect or misleading in my auction. My source is origional GM parts books printed by GM for Chevrolet. Chevrolet changed part numbers all the time. The part number is nowhere on the part, only on the box and in the parts reference books.

Item # Item Title Listing end date 7929042898 Chevrolet NOS 1967 Corvette Anco 15" Wiper Blades Oct-24-04

Thank you,
poohs_crew

I also received this message from him....

My source for my NOS Chevrolet parts applications is original (vice reproduction) Chevrolet parts books from 1929 thru 1985 which I use to ID parts, part number changes, and casting numbers. If you use something else, that is your choice. I’ll stick with the folks who built the cars, thank you. My intention is not to deliberately mislead anyone.

John

That's his reply....Ebay buyers, beware

Service replacements (the number in the parts book) are seldom the same as the original production-line part; they are functional replacements, and will SERVICE the application, but are seldom "correct" from an originality perspective. '67 Trico blade holders are satin finish, 15" long, and have a pronounced sharply-peaked shape their full length; I think Pete Lindahl posted the correct original part number over on the NCRS Board.

That's the key difference between NOS (the original production-line part) and NORS (New Old Replacement Stock) service replacement parts; 90% of the stuff advertised on eBay as "NOS" is actually "NORS" - it'll work just fine, but it's NOT the same as the original production part - it just SERVICES the application.
