Default Custom paintjobs

Hey:

I am looking onto doing some custome painting on my vette ... right now the idea is to have red tops, with red flames coming out of the side vents, and maybe a red outline of the hood cowl. Any ideas/ suggestions. If you have custom paintlobs of your own, please post pictures and share with us !

Thanks,
Kevin

My paint job's pretty custom. I did not do it, in fact, it was painted in 1984. In this shot you can see some of the most noticeable details, such as the black to bright red fade behind the windows. Also, there's a mirror of the side vent painted in bright red, with a few stripes of black and another fade behind that (look really close). One of my favorite details is the black stripe across the back of the car.

In this shot you can see the hood detail. What was basically done was the area that is striped on the LT-1 cars was painted solid black. It dresses up the hood nicely.

I'd be happy to answer any more questions, and best of luck on your paint job!!

Vince

Kevin,

You might try asking some of your local motorcycle riders to find a good painter as some of the hottest custom paint is found on bikes. Remember...there are two vehicles that are uniquely American: Harley-Davidson motorcycles and Corvettes. And both have been customized since Day 1.
BTW.. Vince, NICE ride!
