Default Painting 1962 Steering Wheel

Hi,

What was used on the 62 for steering wheel paint?
Did they use the exterior paint or did it use a semi-gloss interior paint?
Or was it just molded the correct color?
Thanks!

Larry

If you have a good core, the wheel can be repaired and recast. The "late great"
Dale Pearman had a gentleman who could do this for you. I sent my wheel to Dale just before his last illness and the restorer of his did a great job on my 1960 frost blue wheel. I have no idea who the person is or if he is still doing C1 wheels now.

Greg,

I believe that the person who did Dale's work was Gary's Steering wheel service. They do nice work. THey did the wheel on my 60, and I never took a point on it. They turned a turquoise wheel into a pefectly textured black one!
