The coupe base was CA$4,875.00 in Canada, but I know that's not what you're looking for.

By the way, do you guys realize how much detailed info Rob has set up here at CAC?

Here's additional information that Rob may find useful for the performance stats section of the above-noted page.

Yes, and I see he also has the base prices the same as everyone else - and I suspect they are wrong - I am asking, can anyone verify?

Yes - thats what I am looking for - someone else who seen 4141. Now where did you find this published or documented?

I have heard the 4240.75 included the destination charges and other things - what is the truth, how much was destination charge really (there seems to be some debate on that too) ?

I have the original September 29, 1966 edition of the Chevrolet Dealer Price Schedule for the 1967 Corvette, and it shows $4141.00 for the convertible and $4353.00 for the coupe (as does the NCRS Spec Guide); my original window sticker (June '67-built car) also shows $4141.00. The "Corvette Black Book" shows the $4240.75 figure - don't know where they got it.

The base price doesn't include any destination charge, which was additional, and varied in those days based on the actual destination of the car; equalized freight for destination charge (as we have on current cars) didn't start until the late 70's.

John Z, could the Black Book $4240.75 be an average cost including the destination charges?

Dunno - there was a BIG difference in the destination charge between a car delivered at a St. Louis dealer and one delivered in California, and you'd have to look at a LOT of original window stickers to determine the actual spread.
