Default big expensive mistake

1966 corvette 327 350 hp I over tightened the fitting on the fuel pump and cracked the housing....ouch. Can it be welded or jb welded? Another possibility is to find a used housing only...any help...thanks, Jim

Maybe I am missing somthing, but you broke the fuel pump right?

Ecklers has a fuel pump listed for the 66 with a 327 for $31.99

the fuel pump has a threaded piece where the fuel line attaches going to the carb. It has a hair line crack and leaks...thanks for a quick response...Jim

Correct 40083 pumps are tough to find (and afford); Paragon has one that's identical except it doesn't have the AC logo cast in for $65.00. I'd pull the bottom casting off of yours and send it to Jerry MacNeish (www.z28camaro.com); he does aluminum repairs you wouldn't believe.

Hello: Im not sure of the application for the 350hp but I have a 66 327/300 and I work for a GM dealer and just replaced mine with a orig style 3 piece pump still aval from GM. I can ck on the appl. tomorrow but is an a/c delco and your price should be under $50.00. Hope this helps.

I'm sure that's the one that Paragon sells; the AC-Delco replacements have never had the "AC" logo cast into the top of the pump since AC quit making them many years ago.
