Default 1963 Restro Update ---Putting on the TRIM (Part 1 of 2)

Started to put on the trim now...and here are the latest photos only taken about an hour ago. Put on the windshield, tight fit, but it went in OK, the rear windows fit perfect, so here are the rear windows:

Put in the gas cap, and all the internals:

Notice its the roller type, my build date is 23 January, and they were still using the roller type gas caps. Here is the outside...

Ok so now the outside and the fit, here are some door photos:

I am really pleased with fit, it took a long time to achieve this, but here is the reason below, the hinges...spent a lot of time on the fit and finish,,,as you can see:

Default 63 restoration

Hi! Collin

What a GREAT! looking 63. You must be very proud of all your hard work and results that you are sharing with us. I also have purchased a late 63 coupe and plan on starting the frame-off restoration with in a few weeks. I hope it turns out 1/2 as nice as yours.

Great looking car!

Ray

Colin the car is phenomenal. The fit and the crisp lines and the silver color and the split window... it all comes together so incredibly well. A project that really stands out.

Hey Ray, you just roll from one resto. to the next. I can't think of a better follow up to a 61 then a 63 coupe. Good luck with it. Do you have a color picked yet. Silver is awfully sweet!

Great looking door gaps. St. Louis would be in shock. Keep up the good work.

Default 63 restoration

Hi! Studiog

The 63 is a matching number 340HP and the original color is white. I will be keeping it original, except I am going to base-coat clear-coat this one. I really enjoy restoring Corvettes and the fellowship that goes with it. I will be posting progress reports as the restoration proceeds, but this thread belongs to Collin. All his hard work and his beautiful 63 needs to be center stage. I am looking forward to your restoration pictures, the 61 is still my favorite.

Great looking 63 Collin!

Ray
