71 Shop Manual, searching...searching...
Having recently purchased a 1971 Corvette formerly owned by Bubba Bin Ladin, I am now in need of a shop manual for this needy but wonderful car. EBay and Amazon guages show "empty", any suggestions for a good source other than a GM dealer's typical NotInStock inventory? This car needs seat covers, door panels, steering control valve and perhaps a refreshed but matching # L-48 engine. It drives great but has too much power in the steering and often likes to wag at the ladies standing on the curb. Brakes are soft and the pedal is almost through the metal (floor pan) when applied. The wiper door needs a push and the left door spring is DOA (Don't Operate Anymore). New tires on the front, brand new Brands Hatch Green (obviously named by a chicken farmer) paint a month ago. One of three C-3's I done bought recently and I can't wait to rip into this one. Also I own (or do they own me?) a 1981 38,000 original mile investment grade silver coo-pay and a 1979 EZ-GO golf car green coo-Pay formerly owned by Bubba's wicked sister with all it's inherent problems intact. This one is a constant reminder of lying owners and the lies they tell. And that's the truthhhhh! Former Corvettes include a 1974 silver air roadster with 36,000 actual, 1973 Coupe LS6 clone, and a 1981 Beige (vanilla) Coupe, both now in someone elses garage.

Go to their store logo and buy any and all manuals you want including your 71 GM Service Manual, Assembly Instruction Manual, etc. Lots of books to buy.

Ordered me a manual or three...
Thanks for the heads up. I looked at several sites, decided to try the NCRS manuals (3 of 'em). I'll see how comprehensive they are and will add the Helms chassis manual if needed. Happy motoring.

Manuals ordered, money sent, work ahead.
Thanks for the heads up. Didn't see a "Service or Shop Manual, so I decided to try the NCRS chassis, electrical and assembly manuals. Now, can you suggest a good banker? Happy motoring.

Most of the catalog companies sell the same manuals, all of them at roughly the same price. If you don't see what you like at the NCRS site, www.ncrs.org, call them and ask. They are very helpful.
