My Corvette(s):
Default throttle spring tension

hello all,

i think the throttle spring(s) are too stiff on my motor. can someoen measure the pull tension. i am guessing a fish weight gauge would do the trick.

thanks in advance

Are you sure they are in the right position. I noticed on a buddies '67 that he had the return spring on the carb to the rear of the motor when it should have been on the carb to the front of the motor. It was the wrong spring to start with and stretched too much. For your year, I'm not sure of the correct positioning, but I'd verify you have it right.
