Reuben, is this anywhere near you, for you to check out?
(By the way, see you in Chicago, in November, I'm coming in for the show)

OK......just saw their phone number so I gave them a call..... Their dealership should be easy to find and within an hour drive so it won't be to far to go see. The guy told me that they have gotten all kinds of calls asking about the car and that this is "the real deal". Not sure what kind of deal he is talking about I'll find out! He also told me I had better call before driving over there just to make sure they still have it because of all the calls they are getting!!

Mark, with some different wheels on it, that might be a fun "rain car"

What day will you be there? bringing the car for the show?

As for that 85.. Is it just me or does that Callaway body just not seem to fit nice.

Looks like a bad install job. All the cars I saw at Bloomington were just how I expected an Aerobody car should..

Jeff, see my post on this Forum under Invited To Another Show.
I plan on getting into Chi-town on 11/18, with my car arriving on the 19th, which is set up day. The actual show will be the 20th and 21st.

That's the first thing that came into my mind! I looks more like a mold to me then the body kid. Or the painting clear coat isn't oke anymore.

Stalker? VANACORS by chance? No, those were different kits. I haven't heard of a Callaway Knock off. I wonder if he would like to sue.....

Ike, That is a good point - My Callaway AeorBody components all have small tags "grafted" into the pieces - I will NOT post what they look like or describe them further however, I f you would like one verified - either check w/ Callaway Cars or send me a picture by e-mail

Hope this helps

p.s. Kinda makes me wonder then about the molds that were for sale a while ago...

That body does look weird, but the weirdness might partly be due to the paint looking very oxidized, and those 16" wheels. It gives the whole car an odd look. But the close-up shots don't seem to have poor panel alignment (at least no worse that the hood and upper door alignment) or anything. But the car does look sort of dumpy for some reason.

I'm lost Chris, were these body molds that were for sale a while back actually real Callaway molds or did someone under the table fabricated these. Good move on withholding the identity of on Callaway tagged panels. I know there are some vultures out there ready to seize on the opportunity to produce fake parts.

I think I figured it out.. every Callayway Aerobody car I have seen in magazines or in person has the belt line molding in black doesn't it?

This one is body color. Also the fins behind both wheels are usually black too right? I think that is where it does not look right.

Out of all the different body 'kits' I have seen the best 2 are the Aerobody and the Shinoda kit.

Chris, is there a way to see if these are "real" Callaway Aerobody parts or fake one's? You're talking about a little tag Callaway puts on there body molds but can we / you view them from the outside? or underneath the car? And where to look
I think faking these parts is realy hard, you need some cash to copy them in the first place a real Callaway body as original. And i don't know if the market for a "fake" body is realy high. I know of one here in Holland and the one for sale in England and this looks like another body only.
I've you got one it's no problem for me (oke for me only real Callaways) but please put the body then on a Vette that is worthy (is this correct english?) of putting the Aero body on. But if you want the body without the Snat of B2K engine, this is maybe a good change. I'll just wait till i can buy a real B2K

Groeten Peter.
