Finished this afternoon with wet sanding...here are some photos..note the car is buffed .these are raw photos taken after the wet sending and buffing..no polish yet.... Notice how sharp and defined the lines are, I am REALLY Happy with the results...I hated to miss the shows, like Carlisle and OC but still will stick to my guns of doing this SLOW and with percision not rushing the process. Shows will be there next year, only one shot to do this right. We shot about .055mm of base and about .038 Clear...about 3 coats of base and 2 of clear.

This photo above shows the defined lines that we worked so hard to capture, in other words, many of these cars have been sanded and painted so much the sharp lines have been rounded and lost definition, we worked to capture the true lines as it was when it was made...I think this photo captures this.
Next step we will be shooting the inside of the hood and the engine bay black....then let the assembly begine...likes like three more weeks of work..

63 Restro Update - final wet sanding and buffing...
A friend of mine has a home garage set up...doing it in his homeshop. He use to work on the Midyear Corvettes when they were new and has been doing body work and paint for over 35 years. He does alot of the work when I am gone. He really knows his stuff.

I agree.... love that Silver and Silver Blue...took me three years to find the car I really wanted.
