Default My daughters new Corvette - Callaway modifications have begun!

While at the Mid-America Fun-Fest, I picked up the new Corvette 12volt car for my girls - I always try to bring them something home from the shows

This car was used for the Spring catalog for Mid America Motorworks and since they were done w/ the photography of it, the rest as they say - is history

Below are a few pictures of the car and its "modifications" courtesy of the good folks up in Old Lyme - Thanks guy's

...the new Power Groups for the 12 volt C5

Two questions. How much did you get for trading in that VW Beetle?

And, are you gonna let her trailer it to the Cruise-In's with Big Red?.

Reuben, Thanks - May have to work on the hood thing although, the battery sits under the "air cleaner box" May be tough to engineer

Eric - Meg insisted upon taking the car to the local cruise in out your way on Sat night - It was still stock then (1st pic in the series)
Plenty of room in the trailer along w/ "Big Red"

BTW- she still has the Barbie Beetle

Thanks

Cool! Now that I look at the pic closer I see what I think is the 79 Formula that belongs to my old neighbor. I need to get out there again before it gets too cool out. - Eric

Chris: Is that a qualified GM tech doing decal application?? By the way I know how this goes. My wife came home a couple of days ago and said when they were at the store my three year old grand-daughter seen a motorized Corvette and said she needed to have it because it was like Granddpa's car. O well guess it might get added to the Christmas list. Nothing like having some early influence on automotive choices and it looks like you made another good one. Ike

Ike, I know Toy's R Us has the C5R (yellow) race version w/ fixed headlights and they will be getting a lilac colored one too - like the red one - Enjoy making your Grandchilds Christmas a special one -

- Chris
p.s. She is quickly learning about the mechanics of cars, what & why you maintain them
Now that I think about it, Those could be VERY practical lessons in life down the road ($$$)
