Default Location of RPO's on a 78?

Hello, everyone, well, I'll start my questions now! Where are the RPO's listed on the 78's?

If I remember correctly they should be under one of the three lids behind the seat.

looked there, didn't find them I'm wondering if the sticker came off. That brings me to another question, I know I've seen this for newer 'vettes at the National Corvette Museum's web site, but does anyone know where you could get a repro window sticker for a 78? What about the RPO stickers?

You can request the RPO's codes for your car from GM customer service. You just need to send them the serial number and they will provide you with the codes for your car. I had to do this for my IROC after replacing the console lid and remembering the RPO codes where under the lid after the trash truck pick up the old lid.

I called GM Canada (mine was an export) and ordered the package they have which includes production numbers, rpo's, original dealer info etc. but it will be 6-8 weeks, and I can't wait! I am anxious to see all the history and info I can find on mine!

You might try to find the "as build sheet" which is usually tug into the springs under one of the seats.

Sorry, older (pre Bowling Green) Corvettes are very different. Neither GM or the museum have the records, they're long gone. The only exception to this are Corvettes that were imported into Canada by GM. GM Canada has those records.

There is no RPO sticker inside the car on any C3. There may or may not be a sheet of paper glued to the top of the gas tank that lists the RPOs. Sometimes you can pry the gas filler boot aside and have a peek with a flashlight to see if it's there.

Sorry for the bad news.

Cool, sounds like I got lucky on that one, since mine was exported to Canada by GM!

Thanks for clearing that up, I couldn't remember there being one, I even looked in my assembly manual for the 78 and didn't see anything on it. There were stickers under the lids behind the seats but I couldn't remember what they were for.

The build sheet was glued to the top of the gas tank on my 78.
