Default Callaway C6 takes shape as the package made its debut

The Callaway CCC6 was shown over the weekend with its first round of modifications - Over the past week & 1/2 the Callaway Team has been busy constructing the first of what will surely be many of the C6's to hit the roads

Here is a list of what was done:

> Callaway Honker
> Callaway Headers (keeping cats in the stock location)
> Callaway "DD" cat back - exhaust
> Short throw shifter & ball knob
> Coil over suspension
> Callaway sway bars
> 14" brakes & 6 piston calipers
> Callaway specific aluminum wheels
> Callaway Coil / injector covers
> Callaway Sill plates & floormats
> Callaway front, rear, and horn emblems

More details here: http://www.carsatcarlisle.com/schedu...ette_1week.asp

I'm putting my socks back on. Those people at Callaway Cars sure know how to get the ball rolling! It feels great to see this happening. Lance has a Dorrito smile.

...not quite

While Fikse is the company selcted to manufacture the wheels, they are actually based upon the based upon the Profil series, as are the wheels offered for the C5 Power Groups (based upon Callaway's spec's).

The wheels may be changed however, in favor of a larger (diameter) rim to better fill the wheel wells

...new numbers should be coming this week

Reuben - at about 11 p.m. or so, I passed right by the Hagerstown exit off Rt. 70 - not sure how far out the town was though - If you heard a roar or rumble, that was the 18 wheelers, we were driving a rental Taurus home

I wish they would hurry up and finish the C6 so I could get my car back!!

By the way, I received an invitation today to have my car on display in the "Chip's Choice Reunion" Showcase at the Chevy/Vette Fest in Chicago this coming November.

I'm going to call tomorrow to find out. Just about everything had been completed, except for the Megaphones exhaust, before everyone left to go to Illinois.

I'm thinking about the VetteFest, don't know if I want to spend the "shipping" charges for a second trip to Illinois, but..............I just might. I wonder if Lance might have room on his transporter, for a good rate?

Are you thinking about heading out to this one? The show is held at McCormick Place, the big expo center right outside of downtown Chicago.

I went to the spring edition of the Chevy Vette Fest this year and it was pretty nice! It is all indoors at the huge McCormicks Place convention center. There were quite a few cars there and all of them were really nice. I'll be up there for the fall show also.

Mark, can't wait to hear the meg's

Lance's CCC6 was driven out to the Fun-Fest, then washed before going on display I do not think transporters will be involved again for Chi-town...

I am thinking about going - we'll have to see

HAHAHA Yeah Mark, maybe you should. We could do some testing of the creeper in it's stock form (if you haven't modded it yet) then we could compare those times to the winning times we're going to run at Carlisle next year!!
