Default Need new valve cover 1986E

I'm looking for some stock or aftermarket valve covers for a early 1986 vette. Eckler wants $199 a pair for aftermarket. Anyone of a good place and a place that might be cheaper?

Aftermarket? I've got a pair of chrome Edelbrock perimeter-bolt valve covers I can sell you for $15 + shipping. They're in great shape except for a small mark on one where I touched a wrench against the alternator by accident and it bounced back against the cover and zapped it. I can send a pic if you want.

That would be great. Also, is there a advantage to putting tall v/c on the car and with or w/o baffels?

Baffles, or oil drip tabs? You need baffles by the breather/PCV vents to minimize the oil being sucked out of the covers and into the intake. Drip tabs are kinda questionable; if you run longer-than-stock rocker arms then you usually need to get rid of them so they don't contact the arms. Taller covers help eliminate this, but may interfere with other things (or be difficult to get into place).

So you want pix of the covers? Where should I send them?

That's what I've got now, but in the centerbolt version (I've got new heads). I'm having fitment issues between the ends of the covers and the heads, but I think it's more a problem with the head than the cover.

These are what I have: http://www1.autozone.com/servlet/UiB...ESAP%7C%7Etrue

I'll get the pix tomorrow; it's bedtime...
