Default Mid America's Fun-Fest, is anyone going -or- has anyone gone before??

Mid America's Fun- Fest - I have never gone however, I will be heading out there at the end of the week

Has anyone been there before??

What are some of the must see's and must do's??? I understand Mike Yager has quite the garage display

By the website, it seems they have added a day to the celebration - should be a lot of fun

http://www.madvet.com/shop?category=1.270
or www.mamotorworks.com

Anyone else going???? Chris

Nope, never planned on going. After Bloomington, I hadn't planned on visiting Illinois for several years, or maybe another decade. I'm guessing that Callaway (and COG incognito 007) is attending with their full lineup products and we'll find out about it after it happens. Maybe there is some hidden web link somewhere about this Callaway presence ??

Hey Chris,

I happened to catch your post on the home page rather than the Callaway form. My wife and I have attended this show every year sense 99. We love it. The "My Garage" display is cool, and there are tech seminars and other planned activities, but for the most part we enjoy checking out the many, many, many, ... cars and meeting follow vette nuts.
Hope we run into you.

Eric, Did you have a bad time in Illinois??

The Fun - Fest, It is no secret - Callaway cars has teamed up with Carlisle Productions and the latest product, the CCC6 will be on display there - http://www.carlisleproductions.com/s...ct_updates.asp

The link was up awhile ago (same place as where the video's & time slips came from last week) http://www.carlisleproductions.com/s...ette_drags.asp

with a complete event schedule for the car: http://www.carlisleproductions.com/s...ect/events.asp

It seems like an exciting project - I have talked to a few other owners of Callaways and they may try to make it - Thankfully, I have the time off from work that I can use to hit this show, as it is a celebration of Mid America's 30th anniversary, something worth supporting

********************************************************

John - Thanks for the heads up on what to check out
In the magazine coverage over the years, it seems to get better & better - I should have my shirt tag on

Sorry Chris, won't be making this one. Allready had plans with my cousin in Chicago to go to some Exotic Car Show! I will be going to the Chevy/Vettefest in late November though. Are you going to be following the Callaway people there??? If not I'll definetly have some info and pictures from them.

We'll be driving the car below and I'll at leat wear my Cruise-fest lapel pin. I wish I had remembered to order a window decal or something in time.

Eric,

I'm curious...what is the source of your apparent negativity here?

Chris,

I've never missed Fun Fest. It's a good time. There is a concert Friday
afternoon and one Saturday night.
It's worth the trip if you are in the area.

I don't see any sources of negativity, apparent or otherwise. Something has obviously been misconstrued.
