Default Budget for a 1987 C4. And boots.

Hi all,

I'm trying to plan my budget for coming over in about Sept 2006 to buy a 1987 model (see my previous posts.) I'm guessing that in two years time, I'd be spending about $8,000 for an acceptable car. Would that be a good guess?

Also, when I'm over, I intend to buy some Wesco Engineer boots. (They aren't available in New Zealand.) Are they the sort of thing that you can just drop into a shop and buy, or are they specialist or made-to-fit these days?

Regards,

Adrian

There's a few places to buy Wesco's in my area at shops that have large variety and specialize in work footware. I think they are made her in Oregon. Break out your wallet I think Wesco is short for West Coast. I got a pair, too damn heavy for me though. Very well made. Did stop that chain saw from taking my big toe

Thanks Moonunit. I'll just drop in somewhere during my two weeks' driveabout. I think they're about $300, if I recall right.

I'm soooo looking forward to coming over to get a vette. At the moment, I have a *tiny* Honda that carries my personalised numberplate that I used to have on my Jaguar. The plate is "1 SHADY". Looks ridiculous on a tiny, red, shopping-trolley of a car that would normally be driven by grandmothers. It'll look so much better on a red Corvette. I have to get a red one, for my first vette, because my 5 year old daughter insists that Corvettes HAVE to be red.

A few years after that, I'll be back to get a ZR1 in black. That one REALLY will suit the 1 SHADY plate.... <grin>
