Hi all:)
I know this is off topic , however it might help to ease people minds away from politics for a little bit and maybe get a perspective of what other members are like, and maybe laugh a little bit

I'd invest half of it. Buy out my two neighbors so I would have four acres of land. Then I'd fund my own research, finish all my half-finished project-cars, and probably start a wild-life sanctuary. Oh, I would DEFINITELY get horses again because I miss them terribly. Finally, i would buy a PT Cruiser for my aunt because she is just DYING for one.

Hi all:)
I realizied i left out a few options like "all of the above" and "send some to 67 heaven to hire a helper or 3" LOL!!! or send some to ALL the members of CAC to enjoy , personally if i was to have that mass amount of funds I would most likely
Just go sit outside in my woods playing my guitar and think long and hard about
the others that arent as fornuate, Im sure charity would get at least 1/4 to 1/2
of it, "naturally my vette would get a ground up rebuild"..so would my home and my studio, Id'e like to have another guitar amp "mesa boogie" and a fully digital
recorder and all the toys that go with it, ..it would be funny to go to the bank and get a few hundred thousand in pennys/nickels/dimes/quarters...Just to see the look on their faces LOLOL!!!!;LOL
Sherry:)
I would make funeral arrangements for myself, because I would be dead within a year. ;)
Live hard, die young, you leave a handsome corpse.

Buy some land, build a big house with a large garage, get a laptop and a digital camera and hop in to my new vette and cruise the country along the back roads and post it on the web. After that, well, you can always find something to do!

Sherry:)You have to pay it forward. I would defintely help children causes. They are our future . I would travel, give the 9-5 the boot and have an amazing Vette and car collection. Most of all I could spend a lot of quality time with my family..........

I'm going to assume that you mean 20 million net. That would equate to about a 60-70 million dollar lottery with "cash value" after taxes.
With 20 million in the bank most of us employed folks could just put all of it into safe investments and live off the proceeds.
Even at 1.5% you can "earn" 300K a year from 20 million. Even if you spend 5 million on a new house, cars, toys and other fun you still have a guaranteed 200K income when you're done.
That's pure retirement money! :)

I would pay off all my bills, help my family, buy at least 100 acres of good hunting land to build my home on and like Eric invest enough so I can live off it.
I would like to get another 60 like my first Vette and travel in a new one:D

I would quit my job, make sure that I was financially secure, help my kids get some more school, buy a house with about a 10 car garage, and fill it with toys. I would travel to many places that I would like to go, but have never seen.
I would donate...to my school....to the church...
I would stock the shelfs of a soup kitchen in Detroit for a very long time....
I would buy a Toys-R-Us and let any kid that is under privlidged go into and just go nuts finding any toys they want to take home at Christmas time....
I would send REAL food to our troops over seas at Thanksgiving...
I would buy the BIGGEST head stone in the place for my Father....
I would buy 2 front row season tickets in Colarado for all the Avs games....then wear my Red Wings jersey ... and have a place to sit Patrick down and really see some fun. :D
Then if i had any money left , I would give the rest to my Mother for doing a great job of raising 6 kids after loosing my dad on Christmas Eve. 1972...
(Charlie turns and looks into the camera saying..."Thanks Mom!")

I don't know, but I would certainly stay the hell out of Cordillera!!! :D

If anyone does win, just remember that I'm up for adoption AND I'm already house broke.
Probably pay off the bank and keep farming until it was all gone.

Some to charity (St. Judes Children's Hospital), some to invest, snag a few more 'Vettes. . . spoil my son. . . get rid of some baggage. . . and take care of my family and a few amazing people in my life. . .
:w
Plan on 1/2 of it for taxes; then long lost family and friends would come out of the woodwork for the rest, their hassel and PITA would do me in about a year later.
I would:
1. Pay off the student loans.
2. Pay off the meager $700 I owe in credit cards.
3. Pay off the house.
4. Restore the Vette' with a stroker motor, do the work myself.
5. Buy a Z06 with a supercharger to drive in the mean time.
6. Full ride for my friends' two girls to college.
7. Keep working, gotta have something to do.
8. Some vintage Brazilian rosewood Martins.
9. Martin D-18GE guitar.
10. One of them fancy Jimmy Page signature Les Pauls with a Marshall half-stack.
11. Investments for the immediate family.
12. Go shop at Old Navy!:L:L:L
12. Put it away to live off some interest.
13. An indoor shooting range for myself would be nice. :D
That amt. of money(what was left after taxes)....
I would have to go to work for the first time since College!
Of course I'd pay off my home and the homes of our immediate relatives.
Investments to keep some returns coming in for month to month expenses.
Make sure everyone in the family was taken care of with school and medical needs.
And then blow a % of it on "Hookers and Booze"!

I guess I'd do about all of it--except give half to a Presidential candidate. I'd probably split the money between the spend it like I have a brain and the go nuts part. I can see a house in the desert SW on a golf course, a house somewhere in NC also on a golf course, an airplane (Bonanza? Lancair? Baron?) to travel between the two, a couple of cars in the stable, join a couple of nice golf clubs, and that would be about the end of the go-nuts money, although most of that is pretty sane. The airplane thing is the nuts part--if a boat is a hole in the water you throw money into, an airplane is a black hole that sucks it right out of your wallet--but I can't go for too long without getting some air under my butt. Take care of family and a couple close friends, donate to my church and my alma mater (but not enough for them to name something after me), then put the rest in some sound investments (is there such a thing anymore?) and live off the interest. Sounds pretty good to me! Sign me up! Andy

Sherry, I would get on one knee, and ask you to marry me.. then we could go around the world in 365 days, then go back and swim in our pool behind the cottage by the lake,(ya know the summer home that looks like a C-3 corvette), and relax by the silver C-3 moon.
by the way did you win the lottery?,
otherwise we will end up drinking beer and BBQing in my driveway, (hands gressy and working on the vette)
just my 2nd favorite pastime hobby?Hee Hee.

Id buy a bunch of Shiner Bock in kegs. Make a fence around my property out of old cars 1/2 buried in the dirt. Build that crows nest I have always wanted and every day is pirate day. Arrrr  Also, concrete every where there is grass after many many loads of dirt to pad it up a few feet and more buildings. And a new dirt bike (KTM)
Thats a start.
I have a son with Muscular Dystrophy so i'd give a few mill to stem cell research, instead of rebuilding this house in the spring I'd bulldoze it & while a new one is being built I'd pack up the family & travel. When we get home I'd buy a bigger faster boat & an older vette to restore allthough I'd still keep this one cause I've got way too many scraped knuckles, pulled muscles & sweat invested to get rid of it!...funny how a car you've spent more time working on than driving can grow on you.

Definately shared it with my inmediate and extended family, invest some, and build the garage from 'Mechanic's heaven' on my property.

I'd probably do just about all of it too. :) My stepmother had junvile diabetes so I'd donate some there. I'd also payoff all our outstanding bills. We've wanted to retire to St. Thomas so and island close by would be nice. :) Of course we'd have to have Corvettes. :w

If I had 20 million dollars, I'd be rich.
I would buy a big house. Big enough for all my freinds to come and live there in the communal living style we used to do back in the '70's when we were poor. We would have a big garage and lots of room for our Vettes and Harleys. I would start a business and do anything I wanted to. And invent an anti-gravity machine.

" I'd have my leg's lengthened so thay won't call me Tri-Pod" Seriously I'd give to Charity,Build my son and his family a new house and 50x100 ft. barn to keep his SS chevelle's and my Corvette's and 72 442 when I'm gone. Buy my grandchildren each a old Corvette for Investment. Buy my wife a new Z-71 and us another house "Winter Home" in Florida. Buy my Mom & Dad a tanker truck of Fuel Oil thay live in N.E. Mo. " WHO KNOWS " gmjunkie!!
Cool
I would invest my 20 million and use the interest to help the the poor children that live in the Appalachians
then I would buy a nice lake house with a 20 foot bass boat, with a GMC truck, 3 corvettes two new and a C-2.
I would wait to buy the house and the corvettes for about 3 years, till I had enough interest built up.

Myself, I'd invest most of it. Most.
Build my dream house, then let a couple of friends of mine live there while I traveled around the country. Their only jobs would be to keep the house up, and deliver me my spare 'Vette when the one I was in needed to be fixed and it would take more than 24 hours.
Lifetime membership in the NCM.
4 Corvettes.
1 & 2 - Matching, all options, automatics for cruising.
3 - Same as 1 & 2 - Except it'd be a stick, for Driving.
4 - Brand new under the skin, but customized beyond belief. Every option GM gives, plus a few inventions I have in mind. Shut down and closed up - looks like a Split Window Sting Ray, although the passenger compartment would be a little longer than normal. Stealth mode, concealed power sliding doors, and some college in Michigan has invented an auto-cruise system where the car drives itself... Imagine going to the store, parking out in the boonies, do your shopping, come out, press a button, and the car comes to you, pops the doors, you load and go.
