My Corvette(s):
86 Black Vert "Indy 500 Pace car replica"
Default Unexpected Suprise today...

When I started the car to take it out of the garage the engine light came on right away. The car started okay, and went into idle fine. I thought this was odd. I had planned on going for a short spin so I went.

It stayed on the whole time. I was gone for 5 minutes or so. When I got home I checked the code and it read 36. This is the code for the MAF sensor. I looked at the connector and everything was fine. Well I left it out for about 3 hours, untouched. I started it up to put it in the garage no light.

I went for a drive and it stayed off. I guess I will just see what happens. The car is running fine. If it does come back on I guess I will have to get my hands dirty and change some relays or something. However I dont mind getting my hands dirty when it comes to my vette.

Just thought this little episode was interesting. There is nothing dull about corvettes.

Craig

Isn't that the truth? It is probably the relays thats what happened to my car. Every once and a while it would want to sputter and stall, but other then that it ran fine.
