Attended an event at my local Chevy dealership tonight with the MS Gulf Coast Corvette Club.

Nice video presentation on the C6. Essentially the same video that the salesmen will watch(or have already watched many times).

Here are Competitive Comparison sheets we were given tonight.
(I tried to keep them as clear and readable as possible in my scans)

If the PDF files cannot be opened, please let me know and I will up load them in a different format.

537k and 644k File Sizes

Essentially compares spec for spec the C6, Porsche 911 Carrera, Porsche Boxter S, and BMW Z4 3.0i on nearly every point you could dream of.

Far as I know, this is not available to the public anywhere.

http://www.thegroovybean.com/temp/COMPARE/

again, if the files will not open for you, I will try another format while trying to keep the file size small.

Thanks Rain.

The pdfs open just fine and they read pretty well if you zoom in on them a bit.

So the C-6 now has speed rated tires at "W" and not "Z" ?? Hmmm. Is that because they are run-flats?

BTW - I never new the 911 Carrera was a four seater. Learn something new every day!

Does that say the 911 is 92.5" tall?

When reading PDF files, click on the Zoom-In tool (looks like a magnifying glass) to increase the font size.

Looks like they have the wheelbase info stuck in the height category.

W is actually a subrating of Z. The following is from the TireRack:

When Z-speed rated tires were first introduced, they were thought to reflect the highest tire speed rating that would ever be required, in excess of 240 km/h or 149 mph. While Z-speed rated tires are capable of speeds in excess of 149 mph, how far above 149 mph was not identified. That ultimately caused the automotive industry to add W- and Y-speed ratings to identify the tires that meet the needs of new vehicles that have extremely high top-speed capabilities.

W 168 mph270 km/h Exotic Sports Cars
Y 186 mph300 km/h Exotic Sports Cars

Thats strange, it says that W tires are rated to 168mph, but the Corvette's top speed as listed by GM is 186mph. Anyone have any ideas? Not that it really matters, but out of curiosity.
