Did you sell the FI parts at Carlisle? If not, I may buy them.

Please tell me the prices you must have.

Thanks,

Jerry Bramlett

From what I understand...the 3 different distb's sold for between $800-$900 .

They were all there but needed paint and cleaning. The 58 FI unit went for $1200.00. There was no distb or fuel blocks with it...just the dog house..air meter..and pump and intake.

Default excellent buys

908's are like gold. I have seen them go for $2000.
914's for $900-$1250
the unit , even missing parts should have brought $1500-1750.

What do think Jerry? Did he leave some $$ on the table?

It's hard to say, Jim.

I believe I saw these FI parts for sale at Carlisle. The 908 distributor had an asking price of $2,000. I think the FI unit was priced at $2,400 when I walked by Friday morning. I didn't make a lower offer on either because I was beat down by that time. I had made lower, but polite, offers on a few overpriced items during Thursday. The sellers had soundly rebuked me. I believe the phrase they were attempting to say was "no thanks", but it didn't actually come out that way.

Another guy had a pair of dirty, incomplete, and damaged '63 - '65 type units priced at $6,500 each without distributors or air cleaners. I didn't discuss price with him either.

The last '58 908 distributor I put on eBay sold for $980. Incomplete early FI units are hard to sell for anything other than parts, but I would have paid a little more than $1,200 for that one.
