Thanks,

Poster, shmoster - I'm still recovering from enjoying the day-long exposure to Turbo Blue fumes!

Is this worth the drive from Virginia to attend? I heard there are so many cars (especially cars that ARE NOT Rods, Customs or Classics) the event is now watered down. Also heard several people badmouthing event who live on the route path? I would love to go, but unsure its worth the time or effort...

It's the biggest one-day automotive event in the WORLD - you can't begin to imagine the scope of it without being there; 40,000 classics, customs, and rods, with 1.8 million people filling every inch of curb space for 16 miles. Been to every one since the very first one in 1995. Come a few days early - the cruising starts in earnest 4-5 days ahead of the "official" Saturday date. No way is it "watered down" - it gets bigger and better every year, with more and more Cruise-related activities and entertainment in each of the nine communities it passes through - it's an automotive "Mardi Gras"

2004 Medium Spiral Grey coupe
Default Dream Cruise

I attended driving my new C5 coupe in Medium Sprial Grey with the Commemorative striping pattern done in Copper with a Blue outline stripe. This was my 4th year but usually it has been with the 300M Enthusiasts Club, but the Club did not go this year so I took the Vette and went anyway. Cruised at 0900 and it was great as usual. I have an extra poster that was given out this year, as well as a couple of extra Pontiac posters that had the Solstice on one side and the GTO on the other-guess you decide which side turns you on when mounting; and I also got one extra Ford GT poster. As I am out of wall space and not big on either the Pontiac GTO or the Ford, I would be happy to part with any of the above. E-mail me with an address and I will be happy to send one or all out to you. First come, first served.

I did not look for any Vette groups particularly, but I am sure there were several there. This is by far the biggest and most layed-back event I have ever attended. Worth the drive and the crowds. My new Vette [had it since 1 July] averaged 30.4 mpg running around 70 on the highway, and with about 75 miles cruising and driving in the area. Great car, so far.
