Default Factory sidepipes

Do I have to cut the bottom of the fender to put on factory side pipes?

There are tabs right behind the front wheelwells which have to be cut. There are also tabs in front of the rear wheelwells that should be cut as well. I've seen a few that do not cut the rears. The exact cut dimensions are on the AIM (Assembly Instruction Manual). If you do cut both the front and back tabs off, keep them should you decide to restore it back to original.

You will also have to remove the rocker molding hangers that are welded to the birdcage. But, I would reccommend that instead of removing them that you simply bend them out of the way. That way you can go back to stock if you want.Don

That's what I thought. The tabs are in the way in the front but not in the way on the back. Thanks a lot!
