Default AAFES New Car Sales Sold Out

The Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES, the military department store) New Car Sales is sold out of their 40 worldwide allocations for the C6 Vette. This is even though they don't know when their allocations will be built. The best they can do now is take info for those interested in a 2006 vette!

I ran into that on a Silver Anniversary car, at Ramstein AFB. Luckily, I found one that a guy had bounced a check on, but could make no changes.

I wonder how many active guys (girls) are buying and how many are reservists.

I remember talking to them about 6 months ago regarding a C6...they were so far behind and lost when it came to Vettes...especially the C6, that I gave up and went with a civilian dealer with decent allocation. They (AAFES) told me I could put my name on a list...but would have NO guarantee what-so-ever that I'd even get a C6 thru them. They didn't know how many they'd even get for worldwide sales.

Glad I didn't go that way or I'd still be waiting to order.

The people here at Aviano don't even have pricing info yet! Too bad their info suppliers aren't on the ball. I do applaud the people who put money down on one, but like Buster1 said, they are waiting!

UB -- you might luck out and get your vette through AAFES like I did with the bounced check thing.

Well if I do, it would be for the Z06!
