My Corvette(s):
Default C1 needs wider wheels/tires

For just crusin' we want to take the NCRS wheels/tires off (1962) and put on some ARE Torque Thrust II's. Will the front support 15x7" wheels with 215-70x15 Radial T/A's? Will the rear support 15x8" wheels with 225-70x15 Radial T/A's?
If not what will work?
Thanks,

For future reference I have 15x8 truespokes 4" front and backspacing with 235x60x15s all the around and has always been a blast cornering and enough traction to bow the springs down twice and splatter the original third member.

15X6 are on mine, but 15X7 will probably clear. A nice tire on either size wheel would be 215X65XR15`s, A little lower than a 70 series with a wider tread. But it is not too small for the wheel well.
