Shortly after I purchased Mickey Thompson (http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/strip.html) ET Streets (26X10.50-16LT) for the rear, and Kumho (http://www.kumhousa.com/)s (225X45-17) for the front, mounted on Weld (http://weld/) Draglite XP wheels (rear=16X8, front=17X8), MT introduced the 17" ET Street Radial drag tire (275X40-17). Now I can stay with my Borbet (http://www.borbet.de/borbet_neu/en/indexb.htm) wheels all the way around, and I won't have to change tires when I want to get serious. :bu

Now I gotta sell my current wheels and tires before I can purchase the Street Radials (I told y'all I was broke, right? :L). I think you know what tires look like, but here's a picture of the wheels (they can be see on my car HERE (http://www.corvetteobsession.homestead.com/MyCorvette.html). :cool

The tires are like new; I only had them on there when I took it to Ruby's, where the picture on my web site was taken, just a couple of miles from home.

The set of four tires and four wheels cost me over $1800.00 in late 2003 ($959.70 for the slicks and wheels, $800.05 for the fronts with wheels, plus $69.95 for the lug nuts). I'd like to see $1400 for them seeing as how they are practically brand new, but I'm willing to negotiate. Make an offer. ;)

I just saw on one of the TV automotive shows, that Weld Wheels now makes the Draglite wheel in a 17" size. Therefore, I can now keep my 17" fronts and go with 17"-ers all the way around if I also get the 17" Street Radials.

So, if anyone is interested in just the 16" Welds with MT ET Streets for their C4, or any other car, please let me know. I'd be interested in trading the 16" Weld/MT combo for a set of the 17" Weld Draglite wheels and maybe a few bucks, then I could pick up the MT Drag Radials in 17" size. That's be a fair trade, eh? :CAC
