Default Where do you shop for Corvettes?

Looking to get another vette. Just wondering if anyone has found a good source for C4s. I got my LT4 off of E-Bay last time. Know of any other sources?

I got mine from another Vette website member (Corvetteforum). Autotrader had a good number, as does Vettehound.com . Good luck.

I searched Autotrader for mine. I was also regularly checking Ebay, my local newspaper classifieds online, carsoup.com, and just about any other used car site online. It was almost an obsession with me to check it first thing each morning because I soon found out they went fast.

Happy hunting!

Check with VetteFinders. They are one of our Supporting Vendors here and they come with an excellent reputation:

I have been looking for a c4/5 for some time now, I have shopped in corvette trader, vettefinders, e-bay etc. it just seems that most offerings are way over priced.

I found a 90 convert. with 152,000 miles with a rebuilt motor and tranny and the asking price was $9800.00 from a private seller. Kelly Blue book says that car at private sale would be $6400.00 with a trade in price of just over $4000.00 and a retail price of $9000.00. I offered the guy $8000.00 and he flat turned it down. Said that someone would pay it. He wasn't even sure about the rebuild and the radio didn't work. I have made at least 5 offers on different deals that were well within Kelly Bluebook and NADA suggestions that were turned down.

I can understand the prices for c-2 and early model c-3's but some of these c-4 prices are out there.

I have seen some reasonable deals from the sunday paper and on the side of the road. One got away from me that was on the side of the road.

Look for the guy that just bought the car to drive and is not a real Corvette lover and you'll find a good deal.

It just seems that they are very overpriced in those publications.
