For more info. check diesel1456 post on Big Mouth Air Deflector 04-17-04 Rich had an amazing 10-12 degree coolant temp DROP after install.

It seems to me that if you pack air into the engine compartment, there will be an issue with lift at high speed. What have you seen?

Not at all , infact because of the extra CFM there is better diffussion , hence lower temps and better performance all the way around. If you look at the C5 they modified the The spoiler , bigger and more angle and that is what the Big Mouth does for The C4 class Corvettes.

One of the problems with the midyear Corvettes is nose lift at high speed. I thought that was partly due to air being packed into the engine compartment and having no place to go. The product looks like a good idea. I just was nagged by the question of potential lift.

We have tested The Air Dam at 100+ mph and we did not find any instability , plus the Air Dam is angle at 15 degrees , so there would be a slight downward push , if you will , but then its redirected upwards and into the radiator. What is amazing is one of your forum Members Diesel1456 post on 04-17-04, Quote 10-12 degrees temp drop, coolant temp , that is hugh
