Default No Heat

Well today it was kind of cold and i decided to put the heater on and i have no heat it is all just cold air, which it has been doing off and on now for a while. I have the digital climate control, so i took it from 90 all the way down to 60 and turned it off for a couple of minutes and then turned it back on and ran it up to 90 degrees and it blew hot. does this mean that the digital climate control is going bad?

The control your talking about has it's own self dianogstics. Does the 'temp' light blink off and on when you turn the ignition on?? If so, one of the sensors or internal parts of the system is kapoot....I have the dianogistic procedures but too large to put on this forum....pm me if you want....a service manual works wonders in this case....it can be one or several problems happening all at once...

I do not know if it blinks when i start it ill have to check, but it will short out every once and a while. The display that displays the heat and exterior temperature will sometimes just go out but it will still blow air.

There are 3 different '87 Service + Electrical Manuals on E-Bay now all under $37. A well worth investment. Sounding more like a sensor or sensor wire is loose.
