Parking Brake Fix
Last year I had the button of my parking brake on my 86 split in two. This causes the ratchet to not engage when pulled up. Dealership and nowhere else had just the button. I tried epoxying it together, but it would just split again. It was even tough to find a parking brake assembly for this car, so I just let it go for a while.
Finally this weekend after fixing my computer problem, I decided I'd try to fabricate a button.... out of wood!
Woodworking is my (winter) hobby, and a cut one up (out of Cherry) and shaped it in about an hour. Got a new spring from the hardware store, and pressed the button on. Viola! Works great!
