Default Worse than a woman !!!!

The comment was made to me by a friend that sometimes I was worse than a woman The problem I have is that I can`t go past a clothes shop without buying something. I will look at a couple of shirts, not be able to make up my mind, buy both and only wear one. Last week when I was home in the UK for a few days I bought five in one day. The only minor problem with this is cost I am a sucker for anything with a label.

So come on guys are you "worse than a woman"

J.

I'm surprised! I think you are the first male clothes-horse I've come across.

My husband has a slightly similar problem, but it is with home improvement and hardware stores. He cannot pass or go into one without buying something, even if it is only nuts, bolts and washers to jingle in his pockets. Our problems with this habit of his started when he bought a trailer to pull behind his suv...now he can buy bigger ($$$) things!

I think this will be interesting to see how most of the men here at CAC think about their clothing. Great poll!

I'm not a real fancy dresser, when doing jobs around the house anything goes but when out in public your attire is a reflection on the person you are. When in one of those moods for new stuff its watch out he's on a roll to buy.

Yes I do visit the tool section every chance I get, you never know if there is a tool you don't have then fabricate a project to use it on. OH YEAH

A Rolex is a very nice selection of jewelry that tells time. I look at it the same way as you would when selecting a nice ring or other piece of jewelry. Yes a $5 watch will also tell you what time it is, but a Rolex represents success and good taste.

Same could be said about us owning Corvettes; a Yugo or Ricer will get you from point A to point B, but we chose to invest more in a better type of transportation to suit our person taste.

lately I have been using my Cell phone it even switches time zones when I go to Indiana I have a Quartz clock in my Vette that keeps great time and is more practical then a rolex.

I have to admit... I love to shop. It might be the fact that I grew up with 2 older sisters though. But I do like to clothes shop, and consider myself well dressed Gotta dress for success! My shoe collection can rival some womens shoe collections...shhhh dont tell!

interesting thread...not what I would expect at a Corvette afficionado site...

I think most of us suffer from the Armani taste on a Wal-mart budget...tho I've never set foot in a WM. I like the good stuff...when it's on sale (Wife taught me well!!)

Hardware stores and book stores are my biggest weaknesses. (ala Homer Simpson, mmmmm...tooools)

I'm the somewhere in the middle guy.
I'm more into quality and value though.

I don't mind shopping for clothes too much, but I hunt for quality and value the whole time. I think it started when I was on the hunt for some new tennis shoes/sneakers around 10 years ago and no matter how much the price was on those things they were all trash. Ended up buying a pair of $20 Wilsons because they were more comfortable than the $125 Air Jordan Nikes.

The last thing I want to do is buy a $75 shirt that scratches the back of my neck!
I see great value in a $50 watch that easily lasts 10 years (Timex)

Oh, and don't let me near a Home Depot or a Bass Pro Shops store!!!!!!!
