Classic Poll: "Valet Parking Your Z06"

There is nothing wrong with bringing back some classic polls! Polls which had thousands of hits and hundreds of votes in the past. Let's see what this one drives in.

I had a predicament when I wanted to park my own car at a restaurant in the city. They would not allow me to park my own car due to "company policy." I said, "No thanks" and found a lot several blocks away and parked it myself. Tell me your thoughts via this poll. Thanks. Never would I let a valet guy park my ZO6. Gal....maybe, depending on, well, nevermind. :D

Yes, I'm anal about it but I've seen too many of them whip around someone else's very expensive car as though they are autocross champions. It's the same concept as "it's too easy to spend other people's money" for some people.

Besides, I don't want to spend the rest of my life in prison because someone dinged my car.

Going from Parker into downtown Denver is a nightmare of construction right now. :( Even without that, parking is at a premium in all the good downtown spots, and Valets park vehicles around the corner in the parking garage well out of sight. Not only will I not give my keys to a Valet, I hate driving downtown. If I'm going out to hit a restaurant, a play, a nightclub or whatever downtown, I'm either hitching a ride with someone else (who isn't as protective of their ride), or I'm ordering a limo.

I've seen pictures of that stretch C5 before. Pretty cool. Yeah, I'd be interested in renting it for the night, but I've never found out if its "for hire." Or for that matter, where it calls home.

My experience has been that if you give the valet a 10-spot and say you want to park your Corvette, they will direct you to a prime spot - where it is "on display", so to speak. After all, the Corvette is a premium car and it enhances the image of the facility. On the other hand, if the nice approach fails, then the place just lost my business.

I have fans who are valets at local casinos.
I hear the stories of how fast they drove a such and such thru the garage or who burned the tires on this ride.
I also hear about the multiple wrecks!
Lots of those and some are totalled!

I know exactly where that sign is in your signature pic. There's some awesome mountain driving just east of Fort Payne. For that matter, there is some awesome mountain driving just getting in my neighborhood then up and down the driveway! :cool

Cool - I just played a party south of Birmingham a few weeks ago.
Shame I wasnt in the vette for that trip because as soon as ya turned off from Pellam, AL, it was straight up the mountain side and a wonderful twistie road down the other side.
Reminded me of the trip up to the Cherohala Skyway!

Have you found that you are more particular about where you park since you got the Z? Or was it that way with the C4?

RoadFrog- I would be an VERY unhappy camper if someone dinged it. Reading that poll about the guy in the parking lot made me furious!. Makes me have second thoughts about having my gun in the car- I wouldn't want to do something foolish in the heat of anger! :r

Wow! Looks like I brought out the anger of us Z06/Vette people with the poll in the parking lot! Wow!-fists, smashing windows, and now the thought of guns! Oh my!

Well-this is reality people. It could happen. Any kids out there checking this site out who want to scratch up a vette, be warned you may be picking out glass from your face or worse eating lead!!!!!
